Chairman

The chairman position is currently vacant.

Description

The Chairman is in charge of all membership meetings and directs the board meetings. The Chairman also acts as official representative for H.O.S.T. in all public relations endeavors. chairman@cchomeschool .com

Secretary

Tarah Durbin

The secretary is responsible for keeping records of board actions, including overseeing the taking of minutes at all board meetings, sending out meeting announcements, distributing copies of minutes and the agenda to each board member, and assuring that corporate records are maintained. secretary@cchomeschool.com

Tarah is a really cool lady. She's been a HOST member for a long time. And as soon as she give me her bio, we can tell you more about her. 

Treasurer

Debbie Gatchel

The treasurer helps in the preparation of the budget, developing fundraising plans, and makes financial information available to board members and the public. The Treasurer receives all dues, disburse funds for any expense, and maintains bank records for any account held by HOST. treasurer@cchomeschool.com

Debbie and her husband, Daniel, have five beautiful daughters, three of whom have graduated with HOST. They have been homeschooling for 16 years and have been HOST members for 12 years. In her 10 years on the HOST board, Debbie has rotated through almost every position. 

Between homeschooling, work, church, and a home remodel, Debbie tries to find time to write. The Gatchels love playing board games and camping. The girls have all enjoyed their time in American Heritage Girls. 

Programs

Adele Lindsey

The Programs Chair works with a team to plan and implement academic-based activities such as Spelling Bee, Science Fair, and Geography Fair. These activities give our students a chance to plan projects, speak in public, and receive public recognition for their efforts. programs@cchomeschool.com

Adele has a gift for adminstration and is going to plan some amazing activities. She'll tell you more about it soon. 

Athletic Director

The Athletic Director position is currently open.

The Athletic Director oversees W.I.N.G.S. activities, serves as Chairman of the W.I.N.G.S. committee, and acts as liaison between the H.O.S.T. board and W.I.N.G.S. wings@cchomeschool.com

Events Coordinator

The Events Coordinator position is currently vacant

The Events Coordinator works with a team to plan and implement activities for the H.O.S.T. community that are mostly social in nature such as dances and holiday parties. events@cchomeschool.com

Media Chair

Ari Gracia

The Media Chair is responsible for maintaining the H.O.S.T. website and any H.O.S.T. owned computers and equipment as well as coordinating communications with the H.O.S.T. community and the Coastal Bend. media@cchomeschool@cchomeschool.com

Membership Chair

Marifer Hunt

Marifer is funny and sweet and great to work with. I'm waiting for her bio, so we can learn more about her.

Volunteer Coordinator

Brittany Soliz

The Volunteer Coordinator works with the HOST community to match our members' talents and skills with the staffing needs for our various activities. volunteers@cchomeschool.com

Brittany is a HOST graduate and now is back homeschooling her own children. We are thrilled to have her on the board and look forward to reading her bio. 

HOST Board members must have been HOST members for 2 years immediately prior to their service on the board, be ready to make a 15-month commitment (12 months service plus 3 months training the next person in their position), and sign a statement of Christian faith.
