GAP Enrichment Co-Op:

A Parent-Led Co-Op for Students Grades K-12

Wednesdays | 10:00 am – 1:30 pm

What is GAP?

GAP (“God Answers Prayers”) is a parent-led homeschool enrichment co-op designed to supplement your family’s homeschool experience. Through weekly classes and shared activities, students have opportunities to learn alongside peers while families build relationships and serve together.

Weekly Enrichment Classes

From art to cooking to STEM classes, students participate in a variety of hands-on enrichment classes to support socialization and education.

Parent-Led & Safe Environment

GAP is not a drop-off program. All parents pass a background check, remain on-site and actively participate during co-op days.

Christian-Based, Community Focused

GAP is grounded in Christian values and exists to provide meaningful relationships, shared experiences, and a spirit of service.

Class offerings vary by semester based on volunteer teachers and student interest.

Previous Classes Offered Include: Art Class | Life Skills | Criminal Justice | Cooking | Imagination Station | Career Exploration

The Role of Parents in Our Co-Op

Parents serve at GAP in a variety of ways, including teaching classes, assisting in classrooms, helping with childcare, supporting activities, and serving in other volunteer roles.

Not every parent will teach a class each semester, but all families contribute in some capacity. Our co-op model depends on families serving together, and that shared involvement is an important part of the G.A.P. community.

How to Register for GAP Co-Op

1. Become a HOST Member

Because G.A.P. operates under HOST, families must maintain an active HOST membership in order to participate in the co-op.

2. Log in to the Portal

Once your HOST membership is active, families can log into the private member portal to access co-op registration information.

3. Register for Classes

During open registration periods, families may select classes and complete the required registration paperwork through the member portal.

What is the GAP Co-Op?

GAP (God Answers Prayers) Co-Op is a Christian-based, parent-led homeschool enrichment co-op under HOST that provides classes, fellowship, and community for homeschool families.

What is an enrichment co-op?

An enrichment co-op is designed to supplement your family's homeschooling, not replace your primary curriculum. We focus on group activities and classes that enhance your students' learning alongside their peers.

What ages do you serve?

We offer classes and activities for students from kindergarten through high school.

When and where does GAP meet?

GAP meets on Wednesdays 10:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m. at a church that is centrally located in Corpus Christi. Location shared with registered families only.

Do we have to be HOST members to join GAP?

Yes. Because GAP is a program under the larger HOST umbrella, families must maintain an active HOST membership to participate. A HOST Family Membership is $50/year. HOST Members also have access to all homeschool activities, including athletics, dances, social events, field trips, and more.

Classes & Involvement

Is GAP a drop-off program?

No. GAP is a parent-led co-op, not a drop-off program. Parents are expected to remain on site and actively participate in serving, teaching, assisting, or helping in another role during co-op days.

Do I have to teach a class?

Not every parent will teach, but all families are expected to serve in some capacity to help the co-op run smoothly. Ideally, we would like for a parent to teach at least one class at some point. Remember we are parent-taught, so without parent volunteer teachers we cannot run.

What kind of classes do you offer?

Class offerings vary by semester based on volunteer teachers and student interest. We offer a wide range of enrichment classes such as art, science, cooking, STEM, life skills, electives, and more.

Is there childcare for younger siblings while I volunteer?

Yes, childcare is provided for younger siblings. Parents who utilize the childcare pay a fee of $[X].
