HOST Statement of Faith

HOST intends to be Christ-centered, doing all things in a manner that honors Jesus Christ and brings glory to his name. 

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17 ; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. (Psalm 90:2; Matthew 3:16-17, 29:19; John 14:16-17; Acts 2:32-33, John 10:30, 17:21)

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal future return to the earth. (John 1:1; Colossians 2:9-10; Phillipians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:8; Luke 1:26-35; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; Hebrews 4:15; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:21-22; 1 John 2:2; 2 Corinthians 5:14; 1 Peter 2:24; John 2:19-21; Acts 1:11)

We believe in the creation by God, in the fall of man and original sin and that man is spirit, soul, and body. (Genesis 1:26-27; Acts 17:24; Romans 3:23, 5:12)

We believe that the only means of being forgiven and cleansed from sin is repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ and that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation. (1 Peter 2:24; Romans 4:5, 6:23; 1 John 1:8-10; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 11:25-26)
